Resto druid 10m Heroic Lei Shi strategy

We're coming back into progression with a bang, despite the bugged out warlocks. 2 bosses in 1 week, I'm so happy. And we cleared Lei Shi with 0 warlocks.... so this is gonna be fun to type up. Enough about that, here we go!

Number of Healers: 3. I will say this, this fight I only count as 0.5 healer (maybe less? :D), since I'm running the Scary Fog.

Differences from Normal:
  1. So Lei Shi will form a ring around herself. When you stand outside this ring, you would get a debuff called Scary Fog. Scary Fog refreshes once every 8 seconds (though this gets messed up when Lei Shi does Hide) outside the ring. This debuff will increase damage taken by 10% and does a DoT and it'll form a ring around the debuffed person. Anyone that touches this Scary Fog ring will get this damage taken increase. So to get Lei Shi down before berserk, you have to have stacks on Lei Shi.  Scary Fog stacks will not stack on Lei Shi (i.e. if 1 person has 6 stacks, another has 8 and both people are on Lei Shi, Lei Shi will only have 8 stacks, not 14). However, Scary Fog will stack on the other stackers, so if the 2 stackers touch, they will both have 14 stacks and die really fast. That's why keep the 2 stackers on different sides so they never (rarely) overlap while running in and out.

Talents: Wild Charge. Omg.... I swear, blizzard made this useless-for-restore-druid talent just so restore druids can use this on this fight to run Scary Fog. Force of Nature, because I'm not pro and I always forget to use ToL while running in and out watching the Fog timer, but click Force of Nature on cooldown I can handle. SotF isn't that great since while raid damage is going out during Get Away, I'm burning personal cooldowns trying to survive, have more issues to worry about than to go "ooo, I should swiftmend in 2 seconds so will have a haste buff to add to my wild growth", but feel free to experiment. Only talent that really matters is Wild Charge!

Symbosis: Definitely pick a tank (DK/Monk, don't remember what warrior/paladin gives), damage reduction is great for Scary Fog.

Basic Strategy: Let's just say if you're not running scary fog, healing is pretty simple, just heal heal. But since I ran Scary Fog, I want to share the wisdom and fun so all you druids out there volunteer to run Scary Fogs!
Stack Building: We did our stack building with 2 people instead of 3.  When we tried it with 3, we had 2 dummies who let their stacks fall off randomly and they overlap on each other sometimes killing themselves. So 2 people is just less confusing and easier to organize. Hunter and Restore Druid. Hunter is great because they can dps while running. Warlock would be nicer than restore since they can put down portal for instant jump in and out, and they can stack up to 20 stacks no problem with their personal cooldowns, but we have no warlocks anymore, so whatever, we make do. Hunter will sit outside and build stacks fast. Restore druid will build stacks slow. As I said earlier Debuff refreshes every 8 second-ish, so slow builder runs out when 15 seconds left on the debuff (we have no warlock, otherwise can port out at 9seconds!) or 15-18 seconds before a Special occurs. So basically the 2 debuff stackers need to tell each other when they're running out and they also need to not be stupid and refresh their stacks before Specials. Every once in a while there will be no debuff on Lei Shi (because both stackers are outside refreshing before a special) and that's okay, as long as the stacks on the stackers don't drop. The fast stacker will drop the stacks by staying on Lei Shi the full 35 seconds when he gets to 12 or 13 stacks (then rebuild fast from 0 again). Whereas slow stacker will never drop stacks, I got to 15 at the end... be sure to burn your barkskin, ironbark, and w/e you get from the tank with symbosis. Though ideally, I would be at 13ish instead of 15, since 15 was a bit painful for the healers (needed pain suppression, etc)... I think if you have it better organized, slow stacker would drop stacks after 15 and hope the fast builder is around 8+ stacks.  But hunter and I did it so that we never cared about each other's stacks, just location.

Start: Druid (slow stacker) wait until 2 stacks Scary Fog (SF). Then wild charge in on a melee, non-tank. Preferably make a macro so don't have to target then wild charge. Do /target .... /cast Wild Charge. Then when the timer goes to about 18 seconds, run out and call for Hunter to jump in, Special would occur. After this initial start, it's basically slow stacker always run out at 15ish, fast stacker run in when slow stacker's running out, and fast stacker run out when slow stacker starts running back in.

Specials:
  1. Hide: both people can just sit away from the boss to refresh debuff stack, higher stack person run in after Boss comes back and stack refreshed (probably Hunter in the beginning, later it will be Druid).
  2.  Get Away: If your raid has a paladin, have paladin cast that thing that stops DoT damage, and put that on the slow stacker usually. Heal heal, mainly yourself, HoT the raid if you have extra gcds.
  3. Protectors: Protectors appear at set times 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% boss hp, so have someone in your raid call it out and 1 of the stack person (we did Restore druid for all 4) to stack on the Protector you need to dps, but once again, do not put any stacks on the tank or he will get 1-shot. Also, don't be silly, if you need to reset your stacks, reset your stack... better not having the debuff on the add than for you to lose the stack. Also make sure your CCs do their job, otherwise stack builder with aggro (i.e. the healing druid) will get 1-shot.

That's about it... if you think I missed anything or have questions, leave that in comment or throw me a mail in-game (i usually don't log on during non-raid days anymore though)....
Once again I'll mention we are Recruiting....
